Seafood Needs Habitat Too!

Phragmites reed is overgrowing our salt marshes.

Phragmites spp., the tall woody reed is often a sign that our salt marshes have insufficient tidal exchange of salt water. The Coastal America teams are restoring these critical ecological features through reintroduction of saline tidal movement under roads and through culverts.

Join our new

Seafood Needs Habitat Too!

Campaign

Donate now to help us fund projects that improve the habitat of species we harvest for consumption.  This new campaign will increase the amount of fish and seafood in our oceans.  We are scheduling our research agenda (RV Teleost) to monitor watersheds that have restoration targets to quantify the ecological habitat improvements.  See our restoration images page for example projects - donate online now!
